The Nicholls Arms, a Grade II listed building, first opened as a public house in the second half of the nineteenth century. Parish and census records show that in 1861, the David family lived in and ran the pub. |
The pub takes its name from the Nicholls family of Merthyr Mawr, who were noted landowners in the area.
Nearly 150 years later, The Nicholls Arms has retained its individual and historical character with many original features and continues to be a friendly, independent free house. |
